The Fr. Murphy’s flag was flying high this weekend as 7 of our finest U9-U12 athletes proudly the wore our red & black colours in Tullamore and competed against the best athletes in the county ❤️🖤

🥇Congratulations to Áine, with a fantastic 3rd round effort of 8.99m, a Huge PB to bring home GOLD for Fr. Murphy’s! 🥇Thanks to coaches Larry & Alan!
This is Aines 2nd National medal and while still only 10 years of age - she is now the undisputed Indoor & Outdoor ShotPut champion of U12 girls

👦 U/9 Boys 60m Lochlan Smith & Fionn McDonagh
🏃♂️Lochlan placed 5th in his heat and Fionn 2nd in his, missing out by 0.1 second on third place but achieving a fantastic fourth place overall in the country ✨
👦U/9 Boys Long-jump
🥉Fionn & Lochlan both dug deep, as the rain persisted in Tullamore, to produce their best jumps in the final round. Lochlan with a massive pb of 3.11m and Fionn a tremendous leap of 3.40m ⭐️
🥉CONGRATULATIONS to them both on winning bronze, their first National medal🥉
👦 U/10 Boys 60m- Luke Castles & Callum Cusack
🌟Luke stormed to the line in 3rd place in his heat and Callum stayed strong, placing 8th in his heat. Fantastic progress this year by both athletes🌟
💫 Overall finishing 10th fastest U10 boys in the county ✨✨
🧒 U/10 Girls Long-jump- Lara Maree & Caoimhe Reilly
⭐️ Lara & Caoimhe, both had 3 consistent jumps to achieve 13th overall in the country 👏
🏃♂️The new juvenile coaching structures have only been in place a few months, yet, along with fantastic support from parents, our athletes have made significant progress and will only continue to get stronger 🏃♀️
🙏Finally a huge thanks to their coaching team Ciaran ,Fiona and Yvonne for all the work over the last number of months- the club appreciates your time and effort
⭐️also to our dedicated coaches Sandra, Helen, & Paddy, who continue to work hard in guiding and progressing our newest members.
Next weekend & 12th July , we have 13 x U13-U18 year old athletes who are all qualified for nationals and will compete over 3 days in Tullamore.
No doubt there will be more PBs and great results from all our athletes!
