Upcoming Meath Cross Country Relay Championships
Dear members,
Following our recent success in the Meath cross country, we are excited to announce the upcoming Meath Cross Country Relay Championships.
The event will take place this Sunday, December 8th, at Ballinacree, St. Brigid's AC. The location is easily accessible with the Eircode:
A82 HD36.
Coaches have been working tirelessly to get their teams prepped and we ask for full attendance to avoid any disappointment for teams as they need 4 athletes to run.

Coaches have been working tirelessly to get their teams prepped and we ask for full attendance to avoid any disappointment for teams as they need 4 athletes to run.
Event Schedule:
- The relays will commence at 11:00 AM sharp, starting with the U10 Girls, followed by the U10 Boys, continuing up to the U16 category.
- Athletes may move up an age group to compete in the relays. For instance, U11s (born in 2014) can form a team with U12s, and U13s can join U14s. The distances are as follows:
- U10 (2016 & 2015) and U12 (2013 & 2014) to run 4 x 250m
- U14 (2011 & 2012) and U16 (2009 & 2010) to run 4 x 500m
- U10 (2016 & 2015) and U12 (2013 & 2014) to run 4 x 250m
Following the relays, we would like our young members to stay for our Uneven Ages Meath Juvenile Cross-Country League, which will feature the same distances as Trim:
Race Distances:
- U9: 600m
- U11: 800m
- U13: 1000m
- U15: 2000m
- U17 & U19: 2000m combined race, with separate results.
Important Dates:
- The final date for the league will be held the following week in Bohermeen on Saturday, December 14th. Specific times will be announced shortly but times expected to stay the same
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our coaches, volunteers, and parents for their unwavering support throughout the year.
While we may not have as many fixtures as other sporting clubs, we expect ALL young members to attend the leagues to support our club.
We look forward to seeing you all at the end-of-season awards on December 17th, with a special guest where we will recognise and reward those who have excelled this year and also put in great effort in their athletics.
