Meath Championship Updates 2024! 🚩

Fr Murphys athletes have won an impressive 21 🥇medals 5 🥈 county medals in the past 2weekends. That's quite an achievement! 

Thats 26 county championship medals & possibly a record for the club!

From masters right down to U12, the throwers in particular really made their impact in the county championships with 24 of the 26 medals being awarded in Hammer shot & discus! There were 2 gold high jump medals awarded 

Congratulations are also awarded to Daire Beaucroft who placed 3rd in the National indoor championships last month knocking 5seconds off his Leinster PB in the 800m race 👏🏻

As we enter the 3rd & final weekend of the championship , we thank parents for their support & encouragement over the last 9 months & we ask to keep an eye on their ClubZap messages for dates for Leinster championships for the Meath finalists.

Separately to county championship, any child who placed in the top 3 in Meath community games in Fr Murphys on 30th April will also have been asked to confirm their attendance in Claremont on Monday 3rd June. If you haven’t provided an email or the event to the secretary of the community games, you will need to get in touch to confirm your child’s event & attendance.
